(actually released in 2009, but we changed the date so the album's are at the top of the site)
At the start of last year I read "We Shall Not Cease". I was in awe of Archibald Baxter for being so resolute, dignified and forgiving in the face of such horror and cruelty.
I was particularly surprised by the fact that his refusal to fight was seen by the authorities as a great threat to the war machine and the lengths they went to in order to get his "submission."
What's even stranger is that there doesn't seem to be any songs written about him!
So this is our very humble offering....This song is straight ahead and to the point in a way that I feel Archibald's position on war was.
- John Guy Howell

I'm not going to fight x2
I won't be your soldier
I won't lose my soul
So take me down town
You're not going to break me down

I'm not going to kill x2
I won't kill my brother
So take me down town
You're not going to break me down

I'm fighting - for love x2
You say I'm a coward
But that isn't so
So take me down town
you're not going to break me down

Soulful vocals, shimmering guitars, and a seemingly inexhaustible supply of pop hooks will snare even the most jaded listener. ... more
